Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking an Assistant Geology at our St Ives operation in Western Australia, offering a permanent residential role based in Kalgoorlie or Kambalda. You will support ore sampling, QAQC, and field activities across exploration, production and drilling to help optimise ore extraction.

Qualifications

• Current manual driver’s licence is required.
• Forklift licence preferred.
• HR Licence regarded as beneficial.
• Experience in mining/resources environments is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ore mark-ups and ore spotting.
• Support field work and sampling activities in-pit.
• Assist RC drilling sampling and rock chip collection.
• Assist diamond core processing, cutting and sampling.
• Maintain QAQC standards for sample handling and data recording.
• Manage daily/weekly sample dispatch to the assay laboratory.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will provide quality geology technical services to support safe, efficient, and high-quality ore extraction as part of our Geology team at our owner-operated St Ives Gold Mine.

About The Role
