Job summary

The NRMA is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Financial Control team in a role that offers a clear pathway to a Financial Accountant position.

You will assist with month-end close, reconciliations and reporting, providing business support to ensure accurate accounting outcomes across the corporate/group unit. The role supports flexible work from home with attendance at Sydney Olympic Park and Sydney CBD offices as required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or equivalent in accounting/finance.
• CA/CPA designation in progress or completed is preferred.
• 1–2 years in a similar role is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end journals and accruals ensuring NRMA guidelines are followed.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Shared Services and Commercial teams to finalise month-end accounts.
• Support drafting of finance policies and statutory reporting.
