Job summary

D Duke Street Children's Centre within the G8 Education network is seeking an Assistant Educator to join our dedicated team. You will support learning experiences for children aged 0–5, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment and strong family engagement.

We offer above award wages, a 50% discount on childcare fees, and opportunities to progress within G8’s 400+ centres. This full-time role is 38 hours per week with a supportive, flexible work culture.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved Certificate 3 or Diploma in Children’s Services required.
• Demonstrated understanding of EYLF and NQS principles.
• Experience working with children aged 0–5 in early childhood services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Current Working with Children Check and a valid First Aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and development across early childhood programs.
• Collaborate with qualified educators to provide a safe, engaging environment.
• Contribute to planning and daily routines in line with EYLF/NQS.
• Maintain clear communication with families and team members.

This role is Full-Time working 38 hours per week.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 65children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

About You

• You will hold an ACECQA approved Certificate 3 or DiplomaQualification in Children’s Services
• An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Proven Educator experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A current Working with Children Check
• First Aid certificate
