Job summary

Digital Canberra is seeking an Assistant Director, Workforce Capability Development to shape workforce capability priorities across the Directorate. This full‑time temporary role collaborates with managers and subject matter experts to deliver capability planning, learning governance, development, and reporting.

The position balances strategic and operational delivery and offers flexible working arrangements, with potential for permanency.

Qualifications

• Experience in learning and development, organisational development or workforce capability with strong stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with digital learning, HR platforms and reporting systems such as Aticulate360, SAP SuccessFactors and Power BI will be highly regarded.
• A train-the-trainer, facilitation, assessment, eLearning or instructional design qualification would also be well regarded.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to capability planning, core learning, learning governance, capability development, and workforce capability reporting.
• Balance strategic workforce capability development with operational delivery.
• Support leadership capability and inclusion priorities as the capability function continues to mature.
