Assistant Director, Assessments
Full-time Permanent

Details: The ACT Integrity Commission (the Commission) is an independent integrity agency with powers under the Integrity Commission Act 2018 (the IC Act) to investigate, expose and prevent corruption and foster public confidence in the integrity of government.
Under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2012 (the PID Act), the Commission is also responsible for receiving, assessing, referring, and investigating reports of disclosable conduct, deciding which reports are to be treated as Public Interest Disclosures (PIDs), and performing an oversight role of ACT public sector agencies in their management of PIDs.

The Assistant Director, Assessments will support the Senior Director in the overall management of the Assessment team in the delivery of the team’s functions. This includes:

  • managing staff workload, ensuring that priority matters are triaged and assessed in a timely fashion and that any backlogs are appropriately managed and mitigated.
  • providing high level guidance, direction and support to team members in the preparation of assessment reports and ensuring that appropriate standards of quality are met. This includes maintaining oversight of the more complex and time sensitive corruption reports, and proof reading and editing assessment reports and other communications,
  • developing and implementing processes and procedures that optimize the team’s resources and efficient operations.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen and possess, or acquire and maintain a security clearance at the NV1 level as an eligibility requirement for the position which will be sponsored by the ACT Integrity Commission. Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
