Job summary

The YMCA Currimundi Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis. You will support the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead child-led, play-based programming, and guide a team to deliver safe, engaging activities for children.

We are a not-for-profit with a community focus, offering professional development, career coaching, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification or studying towards.
• Experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Currimundi Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
