Job summary

Accord Accountants & Advisors in Fremantle, Western Australia, is seeking an Assistant Client Manager to support the senior client manager, nurture client relationships, oversee project delivery, and ensure client satisfaction across multiple engagements.

The role requires a strong foundation in tax and business services, exceptional communication, and the ability to manage several clients and projects simultaneously within a collaborative, growth‑oriented firm.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting / client-facing role in a public practice or accounting firm.
• Proficient in Xero.
• Strong understanding of tax and business services.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing and nurturing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and providing timely and accurate information.
• Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of client jobs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
• Identify advisory opportunities and expand services across the existing client base.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Help maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including financial data, correspondence, and job documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal tax legislation and stay updated on changes.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth job delivery and client satisfaction.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, including gathering necessary documentation and setting up client accounts in conjunction with support staff.
