Job summary

Gowrie NSW is seeking an Assistant Centre Director/Educational Leader to support the Centre Director in daily operations and lead pedagogy and practice across the centre. You will coach educators, develop teams, ensure compliance and foster partnerships with families and local schools.

The role requires a Degree in Early Childhood Education with NESA accreditation, Educational Leader experience (min 5 years), and current child protection and first aid certificates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education with NESA accreditation.
• Educational Leader experience (minimum 5 years).
• Current WWCC/WWVP and Child Protection course certificates.
• Current First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management certificates.
• Strong knowledge of National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework and contemporary pedagogy.
• Open to learning, well organised and clear communicator with effective verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of educators to deliver high quality education and care outcomes.
• Support the Centre Director in the day to day management and leadership of the centre.
• Coach and mentor educators and teachers in-line with the centre’s vision for pedagogical excellence.
• Build and nurture respectful relationships with Gowrie colleagues, families and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with national standards, legislation and regulations as well as organisational policies and procedures.
• Engage collaboratively within Gowrie’s Educational Leader network and other support structures and resources.
