Job summary

Gowrie NSW invites applications for an experienced Centre Director at Gowrie Clemton Park Preschool, located on the grounds of Clemton Park Public School. The service is Exceeding the National Quality Standard and maintains close ties with the local school and families.

This leadership role focuses on delivering high-quality education and care, managing daily operations and pedagogy, and nurturing meaningful community relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Nominated Supervisor.
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Diploma (ACECQA-approved).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Completed approved Child Protection course.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificates.
• Experience managing a centre and leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of National Quality Standards and EYLF.
• Excellent relationship-building with families, schools and communities.
• Organised, clear communicator.

Job Description

We are looking to appoint an experienced Centre Director to lead the day-to-day operations, team and educational program at Gowrie Clemton Park Preschool.

Located within the grounds of Clemton Park Public School, our preschool is a small, close-knit service with a strong connection to the local school community. The service has been rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard, and we are proud of the strong relationships we have built with children, families and the school community.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys working in a smaller service environment and is passionate about creating a high-quality, inclusive and nurturing experience for children and families.

The key requirements of the role are as follows:

• Lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality education and care
• Be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the service, balancing operations and pedagogy
• Build and nurture strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
• Continue to strengthen the service's strong relationship with Clemton Park Public School
• Ensure regulatory compliance with relevant legislation, standards and policies
• Work in partnership with the Educational Leader and wider leadership team to support quality practice and continuous improvement
• Create a positive and supportive team culture where educators feel valued and empowered
• Lead the ongoing delivery and development of a high-quality educational program

We are seeking someone who can truly be an ambassador for early education and Gowrie NSW, embracing our vision and values of caring, purposeful, inclusive, integrity and authentic.

Essential requirements for the position are:

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Nominated Supervisor
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Diploma Qualified (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Completion of an approved Child Protection course
• Current approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificates
• Experience managing a centre and leading a team, with the ability to balance operational leadership and pedagogy
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Standards, relevant legislation, Early Years Learning Framework and contemporary pedagogies
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage positively with families, schools and community stakeholders
• Organised, approachable and clear communicator with effective verbal and written communication skills
• A commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice and quality improvement
