Job summary

Dôme WA invites an experienced Assistant Café Manager to support the Waikiki café leadership and nurture a welcoming, guest‑focus culture. You’ll coach teams, maintain quality and drive daily operations with genuine hospitality.

This is a permanent full‑time role offering structured leadership development, career progression across WA, and a supportive culture that values teamwork and respect. You’ll lead from the front, ensure guest experiences are exceptional, and help grow future leaders

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Café Manager in day‑to‑day operation of the café.
• Leading shifts and maintaining high operational standards.
• Coaching and developing Team Members.
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training.
• Assisting with labour, stock and inventory management.
• Maintaining Dôme standards for quality, service and cleanliness.
• Acting as the leader on duty when required.
• Supporting the development of future leaders within the team.

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Café Manager to support the leadership of our Waikiki café.

This is an opportunity to help lead a passionate team, create exceptional guest experiences and contribute to a café that is an important part of the local community.

Before Dôme was born, Mr May was a triple jump Olympian in the 1970s, while Ms Jafferies and Mr Sexton were co‑founders of the Matilda Bay Brewing Company in Australia. It was this small group of people and their passion that laid the early foundations which formed the Dôme brand.

When Phil May made the decision to move on from his sporting career, he bought this really beautiful French antique roaster in Melbourne and shipped it to Perth and started roasting. His business, Western Roast Coffee, started supplying Matilda Bay Brewery, where Patria worked and it was then that they dreamed up the idea of the Dôme coffee concept.

With Phil May cracking the very first roast on his old machine some 30 years ago, the first Dôme café then opened in 1991 in Cottesloe. Fast forward to today and you will find more than 130 Dôme cafés operating in six countries. Source: this is an extract from the company’s own website.
