Mf6rk Chocolate Chadstone in Melbourne seeks an Assistant Café Manager to lead a fast-paced café team, manage daily service and ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will drive hospitality standards, showcase our signature drinking chocolates, and collaborate with the Café Manager to plan shifts, training, and stock.

The role is hands-on, with a focus on floor time, coffee preparation, customer engagement, and team development in a busy Melbourne venue.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leading the team through daily service, setting the standard and taking responsibility for the café when the Café Manager isnt there.
• Preparing specialty coffee and our signature drinking chocolates, with care and attention to detail.
• Creating a welcoming café and retail experience, helping customers discover our chocolate and bakery range.
• Training and developing team members, sharing knowledge and building confidence.
• Maintaining high standards across service, presentation, stock and merchandising.

The Opportunity

Our Chadstone venue brings together specialty coffee, our signature drinking chocolates, pastries and baked goods from our Mörk bakery, and a carefully curated retail range, all within one of Melbourne\'s busiest shopping centres.

Working closely with our Café Manager, you\'ll help lead the team, maintain high standards and take responsibility for the venue during your shifts.

This is a hands-on role, with most of your time spent on the floor. You\'ll be making coffee, preparing drinking chocolates, helping customers discover our products and guiding the team through busy periods, while also supporting the day-to-day running of the venue.

About You

We\'re looking for someone who brings both hospitality experience and the confidence to lead people.

Ideally, you\'ll have:

• Experience leading a team in a busy café, hospitality or retail environment.
• Strong barista skills and an appreciation for specialty coffee.
• Confidence managing shifts independently and making decisions.
• A natural, engaging approach to customer service.
• An understanding of sales, stock and the commercial side of running a venue.
• A hands-on approach, attention to detail and a willingness to get involved wherever needed.

You don\'t need to know everything about chocolate. We\'ll teach you that. What matters is that you\'re curious, willing to learn and enjoy sharing that knowledge with others.

Hours & Availability

This is a full-time position working 38 hours across five days, including Saturdays and Sundays, with two weekdays off. Shifts will include a mix of daytime and evening trade.
