The Westin Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Bars Manager to lead day-to-day operations of The Charles Bar, Nautilus Pool Bar and Best Brews. You will inspire and guide bar teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding Marriott brand standards.

This dynamic leadership role requires hands-on management, strong communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. RSA certification (Queensland) is essential, with a 7-day rotating roster including evenings and weekends.

About the Role

As Assistant Bars Manager, you’ll be a hands-on leader responsible for the day-to-day operations of our bar venues including The Charles Bar, Nautilus Pool Bar and Best Brews. You’ll inspire and guide your teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences, uphold brand standards, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage bar operations across Charles Bar, Nautilus Pool Bar, and Best Brews
• Supervise and support bar teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service
• Conduct daily briefings and communicate service goals and updates
• Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests and team members
• Monitor beverage quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction
• Drive team performance and engagement during peak service periods
• Uphold Marriott brand standards and ensure compliance with service protocols
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering processes
• Oversee cash handling, billing accuracy, and POS system operations

About you

• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a bar or hospitality setting
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
• Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Energetic, approachable, and passionate about guest service
• Excellent communication and team-building abilities
• Holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (Queensland)
