Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to provide financial information enabling informed business decisions. You will support statutory and group financial reporting and work with Commercial Business Analysts and Finance Managers to improve processes.

The role is a 14-month fixed-term contract based at our national head office in Pyrmont (2009). You will join a team that values collaboration and professional development as you build your accounting career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in Commerce or equivalent.
• Pursuing CPA/CA designation is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journals to close out reporting periods.
• Prepare Balance Sheet GL reconciliations.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Drive process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
