Job summary

TZ Limited, an ASX-listed global company, invites applications for an Assistant Accountant in Sydney CBD. This full-time role offers exposure to international accounting, intercompany activities, and BAS/GST compliance within a supportive finance team.

You will handle AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end tasks, and assist with external audits, while building a strong foundation for career growth in a global business.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in AP/AR.
• CPA/CA studies or interest in pursuing professional qualifications encouraged.
• Experience with Odoo or ERP systems advantageous.
• Good Excel skills and accounting software experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily AP/AR transactions, including invoice processing, supplier payments, customer receipts and collections.
• Perform bank, credit card, supplier and customer account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing, journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across global operations.
• Assist with BAS/GST and other tax compliance requirements.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for external audits and statutory reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and ERP systems.
