Job summary

Michael Page Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations in a hybrid Sydney role. You will manage accounts payable and receivable, support payroll, and assist with month-end tasks.

The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary accounting qualification, have about 1 year of experience, be proficient in MYOB and Excel, and contribute to accurate financial reporting within a purpose-driven aged care provider.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience within an accounting or finance role.
• Hands-on experience across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
• Strong knowledge of month-end accounting processes.
• Proficiency in MYOB and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Mandarin language skills will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
