Job summary

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Coordinator to join a government client in Cairns on a temporary contract through to 31 March 2027.

The role coordinates maintenance and construction programs, manages stakeholder relationships, and supports successful project delivery across a diverse asset portfolio. You will liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in project coordination or asset management environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
• Experience monitoring budgets, program delivery and project performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and delivery of client projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective project coordination and program outcomes.
• Monitor and report on maintenance programs, budgets, expenditure and project delivery timeframes.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Provide advice to clients regarding asset management solutions and maintenance priorities.
• Coordinate the preparation of scopes of works and cost estimates in consultation with technical specialists.
• Promote the services and identify opportunities for additional business and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant HR policies and procedures.
