Job summary

Veolia seeks an experienced Asset Engineer to support water infrastructure operations and maintenance contracts across Newcastle and NSW. The role combines technical analysis, asset management and capital planning to improve reliability of critical infrastructure.

This position involves travel across NSW, approximately one week per month, and offers career development within a global environmental services company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Experience managing assets within industrial facilities.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commercial awareness and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance programs, costs, risks and asset performance.
• Complete FMECA, RCM and maintenance strategy assessments.
• Coordinate asset condition assessments and identify high risk assets.
• Develop long term capital renewal and refurbishment models.
• Support annual maintenance, renewal and project budget development.
• Improve preventive maintenance schedules and CMMS information.
• Identify critical spare parts and prepare risk based recommendations.
• Support asset management requirements and ISO 55001 certification.
• Provide CMMS support, training and coaching to maintenance teams.
• Work with stakeholders across NSW.
• Travel across NSW, approximately one week per month.
