Job summary

City of Coffs Harbour is seeking an experienced Asset Engineer to shape how we plan, manage and invest in water and wastewater infrastructure across the Coffs Coast. This newly created role sits in our Water Services team and focuses on long‑term planning, asset management strategies and prioritising investments to keep networks reliable and sustainable for the community.

The position offers a permanent full-time 35‑hour week with flex time and a comprehensive salary from AUD 114,518 to 120,546

Qualifications

• Qualified engineering professional with experience in water and wastewater asset management or related infrastructure.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering (or related discipline) required.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic asset management, long-term planning and renewal programs for water and wastewater assets.
• Develop asset management strategies and renewal programs; analyse asset risk and investment priorities.
• Support network performance improvements and ensure sustainable services for the community.
