Job summary

The Department of Transport and Planning is seeking an Asset Information Analyst to manage road asset data end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for decision-making in Melbourne CBD. The role supports ongoing improvements to data flows and reporting across Road’s systems.

You’ll analyse spatial and non-spatial data, create clear visualisations and reports, and work with stakeholders to optimise data processes while maintaining high data quality and governance practices.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications in spatial information systems, GIS, data science or a related discipline (mandatory).
Knowledge and experience using professional spatial products and tools (mandatory).
Technical experience with data integration and asset information technologies such as SQL, FME, IBM Maximo, web mapping, data reporting and visualisation, Power BI, and data management and governance practices.

Responsibilities

Analyse spatial and non-spatial data and produce clear reports and visualisations.
Improve data processes and systems and maintain reliable information flows across Road’s systems.
Provide timely support and advice to stakeholders and resolve technical issues.
