Job summary

The State Government of Victoria is seeking a Graduate Asset Management Data Analyst in Melbourne to support data analysis, reporting and dashboard development within the Asset Intelligence Branch. You will work with large datasets and tools like Power BI and Tableau to understand asset condition and trends across Victoria's transport infrastructure.

This two-year fixed-term graduate position offers hands-on experience with internal and external stakeholders, mentoring, and development

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in data analytics, data science, statistics, information systems, asset management or a related engineering discipline
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience in a programming language such as R, SQL or Python
• Experience in asset management, ideally in a complex asset-intensive environment
• Experience working with geospatial data (e.g. Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML)

Responsibilities

• Support data analysis, reporting and dashboard development within the Asset Intelligence Branch
• Help the team understand asset condition, performance and trends across Victoria's transport infrastructure
