Job summary

Sugar Australia is seeking an experienced Asset Care Manager to join our Yarraville site on a permanent full-time basis. You will develop and deliver asset care strategies to improve equipment reliability, uptime and maintain safe, efficient operations across the site.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will lead maintenance and reliability teams, manage budgets and critical spares, and drive continuous improvement across predictive and preventative programs to optimise performance

Qualifications

15+ years engineering or trades experience with 10+ years in a maintenance leadership role.
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Maintenance, Asset Management or related discipline.
Proven leadership and team development skills with budget management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance and reliability teams to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement proactive asset care strategies to improve reliability and uptime.
Manage maintenance budgets, resources and critical spare parts.
Ensure activities align with GMP, quality and safety standards.
Plan and oversee maintenance shutdowns to optimise resources and minimise downtime.
Drive predictive and preventative maintenance programs to improve reliability and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering for equipment selection and commissioning to align with total cost of ownership.
Monitor and report maintenance KPIs including reliability, safety and financial performance.
