$103,956 salary package - includes base salary ($91,590), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (part time will be paid pro rata)

About the role

Join TAFE NSW as an Assessor of High Risk Courses. This permanent part-time role requires availability one day/7 hours per week and offers flexibility to work online and from any TAFE NSW location across the state (subject to campus availability).

TAFE Assessors carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus on supporting students to complete tasks, as well as identifying areas for further training. Assessors work within a team of industry professionals in an engaging environment.

Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will:

• Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and hold relevant qualifications to be able to assess in the following areas: Forklift, Pressure Welding, Weld inspector.


• Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.


• Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details.


• Demonstrated ability to assess students against competency-based skills tasks.


• Understanding of the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline, and a commitment to maintain professional currency.


• Commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment and motivate and encourage students.


• Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
