ASM Pumps Pty Ltd in Dandenong South is seeking a full-time Assembly & Process Worker. You will manufacture, fit and assemble metal components and pumps using a range of hand and power tools, with training provided.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with an immediate start. You must be physically fit, able to lift and handle goods safely, and committed to quality and safety standards. Industrial team environment offers stability in a family-owned Australian business.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing/assembly experience preferred but not essential.
  • Able to lift and handle goods safely.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods.
  • Training provided on duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit metal components and pumps using various tools.
  • Drill, fasten and bolt components as part of assembly.
  • Prepare components for assembly and ensure close tolerances.
  • Assemble parts using fixtures, hand and portable power tools.
  • Prepare customer orders with office and production staff to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain health and safety and quality requirements.

ASM Pumps Pty Ltd is proudly an Australian-owned company specialising in the design and manufacture of pumping equipment. We have serviced both the Australian and World markets for over 50 years, and our name is synonymous with reliable, high-quality equipment and service.

Located in Dandenong South,there is an opportunity to join our expanding manufacturing and assembly team in full-time, permanent positions.We offer an immediate start, with work hours of Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm.

About the Role

The successful applicant’s key duties will include manufacturing, fitting, and assembly of metal components and pumps using a variety of tools and equipment. Training on each of these duties will be provided.

The successful Production/Assembly applicant will be required to perform the following duties, but may not be limited to;

Assembly operations such as drilling, fastening, and bolting of components.

Preparing components ready for assembly

Able to work to close tolerances

Assembly of component parts adhering to written and verbal specifications provided.

Fits and assembles components, using fixtures, hand tools, and portable power tools.

Preparing customer orders by working closely with the office and other production staff to ensure orders are on time and complete.

Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling goods safely

Comply with all health and safety and quality requirements

Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred but not essential.
