Job summary

Flexi Personnel Australia is seeking an experienced assembler for roles in the South East and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Day shift starts at 6am or 7am, using a range of hand and power tools to assemble and fit out sheet metal products.

This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for candidates who can read drawings, maintain high-quality work, and communicate effectively with the team to support production and dispatch.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings (advantageous).
• Attention to detail, with consistent quality output.
• Physical strength and agility to perform the work.
• Positive and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and competently.
• Assemble and fit off all fixtures as required.
• Take work instructions from your leading hand and reference drawings to perform tasks.
• Assemble and prepare raw materials/products to feed the production line.
• Assist with quality control of finished products and touch up as required.
• Pack, crate/palletise and dispatch materials as required.

Responsibilities:

• Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and competently;
• Assembly and fitting off of all fixtures as required;
• Taking specific work instructions from your leading hand and referencing drawings when required to perform series of tasks to correctly assemble and fit out sheet metal products;
• Assemble and prepare raw materials / products to feed the production line when required;
• Assist with the quality control of finished products, and touch up if required under direction;
• Pack, crate/palletise and dispatch materials as required;

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Ability to read engineering drawings(advantageous)
• Attention to detail, and a consistent approach to producing quality work;
• Physical strength and agility sufficient to perform the work required;
• Positive and enthusiastic, with a 'can do' attitude;
• Good written and oral communication skills a must;
