Gladstone Ports Corporation Ltd, together with Gladstone Marine Pilot Services Pty Ltd, is seeking motivated maritime professionals to join our team as Trainee Marine Pilots. This is a permanent full-time opportunity to develop specialist pilotage capability in Queensland’s significant port region while contributing to safe and reliable operations.

As a Trainee Marine Pilot you will undertake structured training to gain a valid pilot licence and area endorsement, progressing through competency

Qualifications

• Must possess AMSA-acknowledged pilot certificate or equivalent qualifications.
• Current MSQ/AMSA medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
• C Class motor vehicle licence is required.
• MSIC or ability to obtain one, safety-focused mindset and development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structured training to gain pilot licence and endorsement.
• Progress through competency levels toward Senior Marine Pilot.
• Conduct safe pilotage with high level ship handling and local knowledge.
• Participate in safety training and emergency management activities.
• Assist in pilotage management including documentation and logs.
