Job summary

Design Asphalt Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Asphalt Labourer for Pearcedale, VIC. This casual role involves travel across the Mornington Peninsula and Metropolitan Melbourne, meeting at the Pearcedale depot each day to travel to sites in company vehicles.

You will assist with asphalt materials, use hand tools, and help maintain safety and efficiency on site. A strong team player with a can-do attitude is required.

Qualifications

• White card (Construction Induction) required.
• Minimum 1+ years of asphalt or construction experience.
• Australian citizenship required.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport to Pearcedale depot.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Plant operator tickets preferred (roller, asphalt paver, excavator, skid steer).

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and distribute asphalt materials on job sites.
• Support asphalt paving with hand tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the team for timely project delivery.
• Adapt to changing site conditions as needed.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Labourer to join our team at Design Asphalt Pty Ltd in Pearcedale, VIC. This is a casual position with regular travel across the Mornington Peninsula and Metropolitan Melbourne. You will meet at our Pearcedale depot each day and travel to job sites in company vehicles. As an Asphalt Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our asphalt paving projects working closely with an experienced team to produce high-quality results for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with the loading, unloading and distribution of asphalt materials on job sites
• Utilising hand tools and equipment to support the asphalt paving process
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following all relevant health and safety protocols
• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and timely project delivery
• Adapting to changing job site conditions and requirements as needed

What we’re looking for

• A positive attitude and the willingness to learn and develop new skills
• A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable transportation to the Pearcedale depot
• Candidates with plant operator tickets (roller, asphalt paver, excavator, skid steer) will be looked upon favourably
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in asphalt or construction industry is required
• Australian citizenship is required for this position
