Job description

Location: Remote (Melbourne based preffered)

Employment Type: Open to Contract or Full time workers - Full work rights required

Help organisations embrace AI without losing their humanness.

We’re proud to be exclusively partnered with a fast-growing boutique AI consultancy on this newly created role. Our client makes AI and emerging tech feel accessible, empowering, and refreshingly human. They’re the no-nonsense advisor helping forward-thinking leaders adopt AI with confidence, while keeping their people at the heart of every decision.

They’re now looking for an AI Adoption Consultant: someone who can sit across the table from a leadership team, understand what’s really going on in their organisation, and design a practical path to AI capability. You’ll shape strategy, guide change, and, when the moment calls for it, stand in front of a room and bring people along.

In this role, you’ll be the trusted bridge between what AI can do and what an organisation actually needs. That means helping clients make smart decisions, not just run workshops.

The Role
Advising Clients
  • Partnering with leaders to understand their goals, constraints, culture, and AI maturity
  • Diagnosing capability gaps and opportunities, and turning them into clear, prioritised recommendations
  • Shaping AI adoption roadmaps that fit each organisation’s reality, pace, and purpose
  • Leading and contributing to consultancy engagements from discovery through to delivery
  • Building long-term, trusted relationships with stakeholders from the C-suite to frontline teams
Designing & Driving Change
  • Designing capability-building programs that embed AI into how teams actually work
  • Developing practical resources such as frameworks, toolkits, playbooks, and cheat sheets that clients keep using long after the engagement ends
  • Applying change management thinking so new ways of working stick
  • Measuring impact and adjusting the approach based on what’s working
Facilitating & Enabling
  • Facilitating strategy sessions, leadership workshops, and team enablement sessions
  • Delivering engaging, jargon-free sessions, in person and virtual, that turn complex AI concepts into confident action
  • Representing the business at speaking engagements and industry events
Shaping the Firm’s Thinking
  • Researching and evaluating emerging AI tools and assessing their practical value for clients
  • Bringing insights on industry developments and what they mean for client organisations
  • Keeping the internal team ahead of the curve on AI trends
  • Helping shape service offerings and thought leadership based on what’s coming next
About You
Experience (3–5 years in one of these areas):
  • Digital transformation, technology adoption, or change management
  • Capability building, learning strategy, or product enablement
  • Facilitation of workshops with senior stakeholders
Key Skills:
  • Client acumen: You quickly understand a client’s business, ask the right questions, and get to the heart of the problem
  • Strategic thinking: You connect the big picture to practical, achievable next steps
  • Influence: You can build credibility with executives and earn trust across all levels
  • Communication: You make complex ideas simple, compelling, and human, in writing and in the room
  • Learning agility: You get hands‑on with new tools fast and can judge where they add real value
  • Adaptability: You’re comfortable moving between advising, designing, facilitating, and researching
The Human Touch:
  • Confident leading conversations and sessions with groups, from boardrooms to all-staff sessions
  • Passionate about helping people feel empowered, not overwhelmed, by technology
  • A collaborative approach that thrives alongside both clients and internal teams
  • A growth mindset: you want a role that will stretch and develop you
Is This Role Right for You?

This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑moving environment. It’s best suited to someone who enjoys advising and doing. It won’t suit people looking for a purely strategic role, those who prefer to stay behind the scenes and avoid client interaction, or anyone seeking a slow‑paced environment. Our client moves fast, but thoughtfully, and they’re looking for someone who sees AI as a fundamental shift rather than just another tech trend.

What Success Looks Like

For clients: Leaders make confident, well‑informed decisions about AI. Organisations see measurable changes in how their people work with AI, and they see the firm as a trusted advisor they keep coming back to.

For the business: You’ll help build one of Australia’s most trusted AI capability practices. Engagements grow in scope and impact because of the value you bring, and the team and its offerings stay ahead because of your insights.

For you: You’ll grow your expertise across strategy, change, and delivery. You’ll build a reputation as a trusted voice in human‑centred AI adoption and do meaningful work that genuinely helps people and organisations thrive.

Why This Opportunity?

Our client is building something special: a consultancy that proves you can embrace cutting‑edge technology while keeping humans at the centre. They work with forward‑thinking organisations across Australia, from peak industry bodies to innovative businesses.

You’ll join a smart, generous team with a shared mission of helping Australia adopt AI confidently without losing what makes us human. This role offers direct exposure across all three of their service areas:

  • Consulting: Strategic advice that fits each client’s reality
  • Learning: Workshops and speaking that make AI accessible
  • Solutions: AI tools and systems that enhance human potential
