Job summary

The Art Handler / Collections Officer at MAGNT works across the Digitisation and Collections department, assisting with day-to-day care of MAGNT's History, Culture and the Arts collections.

You will document, store, relocate and handle objects as they relate to digitisation, exhibitions and research, and support the Storage Needs Assessment recommendations. This is a full-time, ongoing Darwin-based role.

Responsibilities

• The Art Handler / Collections Officer works across the Digitisation and Collections department, assisting with the day-to-day collections care of MAGNT's History, Culture and the Arts collection management and support operations.
• The role includes documentation, storage, location movement and object handling of collection items as they relate to digitisation, exhibitions and research.
• The position will also support the delivery of the Storage Needs Assessment recommendations.
