Job summary

Pizza Hut Australia is seeking an Area Operations Manager to lead and support franchise stores across Queensland, based on the Sunshine Coast. You will align teams to brand standards, drive performance, and ensure quality and safety across the network.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will oversee store visits, provide detailed feedback, and develop talent while ensuring an outstanding customer experience across the region.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-site retail leadership with team motivation expertise.
• Experience implementing brand standards across stores.
• Strong knowledge of retail compliance and licensing.
• Solid understanding of food safety and WHS in fast-paced environments.
• Independent decision-maker with excellent communication skills.

About the role…

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will lead and support franchise stores to consistently deliver the brand promise. You'll align teams to brand standards, model key priorities, foster morale, and drive accountability across store operations.

What you'll do…

• Lead and inspire a network of franchisees to build and maintain profitable operations.
• Track and monitor store performance using a wide range of performance metrics and benchmark tools.
• Complete regular store visits and provide detailed feedback to the Regional Director.
• Own and assess talent across all levels within the market using various tools.
• Lead the store teams to deliver the desired customer experience.
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all the products on the menu, their components and the defined quality parameters.
• Identify critical parameters which impact quality and devise ways to find solutions.
• Monitor and manage operational adherence to food safety, operational standards, restaurant safety and fire safety standards.
• Complete store action plans for guest experience improvement.

Please note that regional travel may be required for this role.

What you'll bring…

• Proven multi-site retail leadership with team motivation expertise
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, roadworthy vehicle
• Experience in consulting, business partnering, and strategic planning
• Strong knowledge of legal compliance (NSF, labor laws) and licensing
• Solid grasp of food safety, FSSAI, operational standards, and WH&S
• Independent decision-maker with strong autonomy and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to lead and engage teams
