Downer is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our surfacing operations across the Newcastle region. Reporting to the State Manager NSW/ACT, you will be responsible for safety, operational performance, financial results, client relationships and the leadership of a high-performing team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the Newcastle surfacing business to achieve safety, financial and operational targets.

ABOUT YOU

• Demonstrated operational leadership experience within surfacing, road infrastructure or a related industry.
• A genuine commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and business performance.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and win new work.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of contract management, tendering and operational delivery.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Finance or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
