Job summary

Linde is seeking an Area Manager to own the Mt Isa Retail Store, lead a small team, drive sales and customer service while ensuring safety and efficiency. You will build trusted relationships with local customers, manage day‑to‑day operations, stock and store presentation, and balance people leadership with commercial growth across the Mt Isa area.

This frontline leadership role sits within the broader Linde retail network, offering opportunities for growth, development and ongoing safety

Are you a commercially minded leader who enjoys building strong customer relationships, leading a small team and running a safe, effective local operation? This is an opportunity to take ownership of our Mt Isa Retail Store and play a key role in supporting customers across the local area. As Area Manager, you will lead the day-to-day performance of the store, develop your team, drive sales and customer service outcomes, and ensure the operation runs safely, efficiently and in line with our standards. You will be the local business leader for the Retail Network in Mt Isa, balancing people leadership, operational excellence and commercial growth.

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the Mt Isa Retail Store, including customer service, stock availability, store presentation and operational controls
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, industry contacts and business networks
• Identify opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability and strengthen customer retention across the local area
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure work is completed in line with company, safety, quality and operational requirements

About the Candidate

• Experience leading teams in a retail, trade, industrial, operational or customer-facing environment
• Strong customer focus with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and local stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and confidence working with sales, margin, cost, inventory and performance information
• Ability to manage daily operations, solve problems and keep work moving in a safe and organised way
• Clear communication, influencing skills and a lead-by-example approach
• Current driver's licence
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, trade, logistics or retail environments will be highly regarded.
