Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Area Manager to own and grow a Sunshine Coast portfolio. You will lead site teams on client sites, ensuring service delivery and strong relationships with customers, while driving continuous improvement and growth opportunities.

You will manage rosters, reporting, safety, and cost control, with autonomy supported by a seasoned leadership team. A company vehicle, phone, and laptop are provided, along with onboarding and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, facilities management, or similar operational leadership.
• Strong people management skills with coaching and development abilities.
• Structured, detail-focused approach to compliance, reporting and cost control.
• Working knowledge of WHS requirements and cleaning operations.
• Experience using operational systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day performance of sites and teams to ensure service standards.
• Lead cleaners and supervisors through site visits, training and performance reviews.
• Maintain high cleaning standards including equipment care and stock management.
• Ensure WHS compliance and safe systems of work.
• Manage client relationships and proactively address service expectations.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing portfolios.
• Coordinate periodic cleaning works and one-off projects as required.
• Review fortnightly performance data with senior leadership and implement improvements.

What You’ll Bring

You will be organised, practical, and confident working with both clients and operational teams. Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous experience in cleaning, facilities management, or a similar operational leadership role.

Your Role

You will manage the day-to-day performance of your sites and teams, ensuring consistent service standards and strong client relationships. Your responsibilities will cover:

Team Leadership and Service Delivery

• Leading and supporting cleaners and supervisors through regular site visits, training, and performance management via QuayClean Apps.
• Maintaining high cleaning standards across all sites, including equipment care, stock management, and scheduled inspections.
• Ensuring WHS compliance, injury management processes, and safe systems of work are followed.

Client Relationships and Portfolio Growth

• Acting as the primary contact for clients within your portfolio and proactively managing service expectations.
• Handling operational issues and client requests promptly and professionally.
• Coordinating periodic cleaning works and one-off projects as required.
• Identifying opportunities to expand services within existing client portfolios.

Operational and Commercial Management

• Managing rosters, timesheets, standard hours, and labour efficiency.
• Reviewing fortnightly performance data with senior leadership and implementing improvement actions.
