Job summary

FRC Design and Construction Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based design and construction company, is seeking an Architectural Draftsperson to join our team on a full-time basis. You will prepare accurate architectural drawings, technical documentation and construction plans to support building projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, Building Design or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in architectural drafting and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent drafting software.
• Understanding of construction methods, building materials and architectural detailing.
• Knowledge of Australian building regulations and relevant industry standards is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Good communication, organizational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
• Develop and modify architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant drafting software.
• Assist architects and building designers in preparing design concepts, working drawings and technical specifications.
• Prepare drawings and supporting documentation for development applications and building approvals.
• Interpret architectural plans, building specifications, the NCC and relevant Australian Standards.
• Coordinate drawings with architects, engineers, builders and other construction professionals.
• Conduct site measurements and verify existing building conditions when required.
• Review and update drawings based on project requirements, design changes and consultant feedback.
• Assist in identifying and resolving technical documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate project drawing records and documentation.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate architectural drawings, technical documentation and construction plans to support the delivery of building projects.
