Job summary

The Arborist position with Toowoomba Regional Council's Parks & Recreation Services at Charlton Depot will assist with maintaining tree assets across the region and perform a wide range of specialist tasks using recognised arboricultural practices. You will work under remote supervision and contribute to safe, sustainable management of street and park trees.

Qualifications

• Current MR Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
• WHS Competency (WhiteCard) for CPCWHS1001 or equivalent, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Chainsaw Ticket Level 1 is mandatory.
• Possession of a recognised certification in Arboriculture or Horticulture is highly desirable.
• Chainsaw Ticket Level 2 is highly desirable.
• EWP (Elevating Work Platform) Licence is highly desirable.
• The technical skills and knowledge to perform the duties of the position.
• The ability to perform physical labouring tasks.
• Interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
