Job summary

Whitehorse City Council is recruiting an Arbor Team Member to deliver high‑quality customer service while maintaining council trees and completing scheduled works. You will operate chainsaws, chippers and plant, follow safety procedures, and record activities using mobile devices.

The role requires relevant certificates and a current MR licence, with a 9 day fortnight and permanent full‑time hours. You will contribute to continuous improvement and service delivery standards in a supportive urban

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent experience in arboriculture service delivery.
• Chainsaw Level 1 certification and ability to operate related equipment.
• Certificate II in ESI powerline vegetation control or equivalent experience.
• Current Victorian MR truck driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service and maintain trees to meet service standards.
• Schedule and prioritise tasks to complete work within timeframes.
• Operate and maintain machinery including chainsaws, chippers and plant.
• Complete risk assessments and follow safe operating procedures.
• Record work orders on mobile devices and manage traffic where required.
