MCJ Appointments is seeking an experienced Tree Management Officer for Blacktown City Council. You’ll inspect public trees, advise on arboriculture, and support planting and replacement programs in the Open Space Maintenance team. The role blends site inspections with technical administration and community engagement.

Responsibilities include coordinating tree planting, monitoring works, supervising contractors and delivering clear reports to residents and staff.

Competenze

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in arboriculture or a related field.
• Extensive experience across tree management.
• Strong communication skills and confidence handling resident enquiries.
• A current Class C driver’s licence.

Mansioni

• Inspecting council trees to assess their health, condition and maintenance needs.
• Assessing Tree Preservation Order applications and preparing permits.
• Investigating incidents and property damage involving trees or roots.
• Coordinating and monitoring tree planting, replacement and maintenance works.
• Overseeing contractors and checking compliance with service agreements.
• Providing practical advice to residents, council staff and other stakeholders.
• Preparing correspondence, reports and project updates.
• Ensuring works meet safety requirements, budgets and timeframes.
