Job summary

Belgravia Leisure seeks an Aquatics Services Coordinator to lead our Swim Schools programs at Coburg Leisure Centre. You will manage operations, mentor teachers, and drive financial performance against the centre's business plan.

The role reports to the Aquatic Services Manager and emphasizes safety, staff development, and member experience. You will champion child safety, inclusion and excellent service to families, schools and community groups, while coordinating with diverse teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Swim Teacher Certificate or equivalent in water swimming and safety.
• Infants/Preschool swim qualifications are highly regarded (Ex/Infants & Preschool).
• Experience leading a Swim School or Leisure supervisor team.
• Experience leading a large casual workforce toward business outcomes.
• Financial accountability and program marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the centre's Swim Schools programs and financial performance.
• Lead Swim Teachers in program delivery, training and skill development.
• Collaborate with Aquatic Services Manager to meet annual business plan targets.

This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Aquatic Services Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team!

The Role

TheAquatics Services Coordinator is responsible for the management and operation of the centre's Swim Schools programs. They are accountable for managing the financial performance of the program in order to achieve the goals and targets as set out in the annual business plan for the program.

The Aquatics Services Coordinator will lead our Swim Teachers in program delivery, training and build on current skills and knowledge to ensure the delivery of aquatic education to our members.

Outstanding communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will engage with a variety of pool users, families, school groups, and community partners. You take initiative in building positive relationships and ensuring every visitor enjoys a welcoming and rewarding experience at our centre.

As a leader, you demonstrate the ability to connect with people of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. You are organised, approachable, and passionate about maintaining a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable aquatic environment for both staff and students.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Essential Criteria

• Swim Teacher Certificate (Teaching of water swimming and water safety or equivalent)
• Swim extension course qualifications highly regarded (Infants and Preschool,
• Access and Inclusion, Teaching of Adults)
• Previous Swim School or Leisure Supervisor Experience
• Previous experience leading a large casual workforce towards business outcomes
• Demonstrated business and/or marketing experience
• Previous experience leading/reporting/monitoring financial outcomes
• National Police Check
• Working With Children Check (or equivalent)
• Level 2 First Aid and current CPR
• Legally entitled to work in Australia
