Job summary

Belgravia Leisure seeks an Aquatics Services Coordinator to lead our Swim Schools program at Keilor East Leisure Centre and drive financial performance in line with the annual business plan. • Swim Teacher Certificate (Teaching of water swimming and water safety or equivalent).
• Infants and Preschool extension qualifications highly regarded (Infants and Preschool, Access and Inclusion, Teaching of Adults).
• National Police Check and Working With Children Check required; willing to acquire if not held.
• Level 2 First Aid and current CPR required.

The Role

The Aquatics Services Coordinator is responsible for the management and operation of the centre's Swim Schools programs. They are accountable for managing the financial performance of the program in order to achieve the goals and targets as set out in the annual business plan for the program.

The Aquatics Services Coordinator is responsible for the management and operation of the centre's swim Schools programs. Reporting to the Aquatic Services Manager, you are accountable for managing the financial performance of the program in order to achieve the goals and targets as set out in the annual business plan for the program.

The Aquatics Services Coordinator will lead our Swim Teachers in program delivery, training and build on current skills and knowledge to ensure the delivery of aquatic education to our members.

You are passionate about swimming and water safety and inspiring others to reach their full potential in the water. You take pride in leading a high-quality swim school program and are committed to growing the reputation and success of the Keilor East Leisure Centre. With a positive and energetic attitude, you foster a supportive team culture and lead by example to deliver excellence in every lesson and interaction.

You have a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing, ensuring every participant feels safe, included, and supported—regardless of their age, ability, or learning needs. Experience across a range of programs, from infants and toddlers through to adults, will be highly regarded.

Outstanding communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will engage with a variety of pool users, families, school groups, and community partners. You take initiative in building positive relationships and ensuring every visitor enjoys a welcoming and rewarding experience at our centre.

As a leader, you demonstrate the ability to connect with people of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. You are organised, approachable, and passionate about maintaining a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable aquatic environment for both staff and students.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

• Swim Teacher Certificate (Teaching of water swimming and water safety or equivalent)
• Swim extension course qualifications highly regarded (Infants and Preschool,
• Access and Inclusion, Teaching of Adults)
• Previous Swim School or Leisure Supervisor Experience
• Previous experience leading a large casual workforce towards business outcomes
• Demonstrated business and/or marketing experience
• Previous experience leading/reporting/monitoring financial outcomes
• National Police Check
• Working With Children Check (or equivalent)
• Level 2 First Aid and current CPR
• Legally entitled to work in Australia
