Job summary

Jade Tiger Abalone is seeking an Aquaculture Attendant Level 4 - Live Technician to join the Live Export team at our Live Holding and Dispatch Facility. This permanent night shift role maintains holding systems, supports abalone health and welfare, coordinates stock movements, and assists with export and freezing operations.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work safely in a fast-paced aquaculture environment, perform data entry in Excel, and provide guidance to staff as required.

Qualifications

• Current LR Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in a production environment.
• Good observational skills and attention to detail.
• Competent driving and machinery operation.
• Experience with data entry and Microsoft Excel.
• Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.

• Clean, maintain and monitor live holding systems, tanks and infrastructure.
• Pack, dispatch and deliver live abalone stock.

• Support Approved Arrangement and export documentation requirements.
• Participate in freezing operations and related documentation processes.
• Work rostered shifts, including weekends, nights and public holidays when required.
• Provide guidance and direction to other employees as required.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Live Export Manager.

Based at our Live Holding and Dispatch Facility (LHDF), this permanent night shift full-time role is responsible for maintaining live holding systems, supporting abalone health and welfare, coordinating stock movements, and assisting with export and freezing operations.

Jade Tiger Abalone is focused on the direct delivery of premium Australian Jade Tiger Abalone grown from Victorian aquaculture farms and processed at our in-house export facilities. JTA is HACCP certified and an AQIS registered establishment for the export of live, canned, and frozen abalone to both international and domestic customers.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Live Holding and Dispatch Facility. This hands-on position involves maintaining holding systems and infrastructure, preparing and dispatching stock, completing operational documentation, and supporting export and freezing activities.

We are looking for an individual who is proactive, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced aquaculture environment.
