Commonwealth Treasury is seeking APS6 Analysts to contribute to policy across the financial system, retirement incomes, consumer protection, corporate regulation and digital economy. APS6 officers shape government decisions, manage complex work and provide high-quality advice on national significance.

Qualifications

  • Undertake complex policy analysis and provide strategic advice on economic, legal and regulatory issues.
  • Prepare ministerial briefs, Cabinet submissions, correspondence and consultation materials.
  • Manage components of legislative and regulatory reform projects from design through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, stakeholder feedback and market developments to inform policy recommendations and government decisions.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with regulators, industry, consumer groups and other government agencies.
  • Coordinate work across stakeholders to support delivery of government priorities and reform outcomes.
  • Support and mentor junior staff and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
