Our Federal Government client in Melbourne is seeking an APS5 Investigations Officer and an APS6 Senior Investigations Officer for a 1-year non-ongoing fixed-term contract, with full-time hours and hybrid work options.

Citizenship and Federal Police Check are required; a Certificate IV in Government Investigations is preferred. Roles involve gathering information, reviewing documents, and supporting compliance investigations.

About the company

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced APS5 Investigations and APS6 Senior Investigations Officer to join their busy team on a Non-Ongoing APS contract (Fixed Term Contract) for 1 year. About the role

• Help gather, review, and record information to support investigations into possible breaches
• Examine documents and financial records, identify any concerns or missing information, and provide advice to help inform decisions.

• Ensure information is accurate, clear, and consistent, and support a high-quality approach to investigations and compliance work.

About you

• You will ideally have a Certificate IV in Government Investigations
• You will have previous experience working in investigations within a government environment
• You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information and data
• You will have strong communication skills - both written and verbal, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
• You will be self-motivated, and have strong organisational and time management skills
• You will ideally have a current/active Federal Government Baseline Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
