Halcyon Knights partners with a Federal Government client to recruit an APS5 Investigations and APS5 Regulatory and Compliance Officer on a 1-year fixed-term contract in Melbourne. The role supports regulation, policies, and compliance with strong emphasis on financial checks and data analysis.

You will assess claims, oversee processing of funding and payments, and coordinate non-compliance investigations. A baseline clearance is preferred.

About the company

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced APS5 Investigations and APS5 Regulatory and Compliance Officer to join their busy team on a Non-Ongoing APS contract (Fixed Term Contract) for 1 year. If you have a passion for regulation, policies, and compliance, this could be the right role for you!

About the role

• Check financial to ensure information is correct and complies with legislative requirements
• Assess and review claims, utilising compliance assessments in line with legislation
• Oversee and coordinate accurate processing of funding and payments
• Data and information collection, identifying and investigating non-compliance, and any associated risks

About you

• You will ideally have formal qualifications or experience working in accounting, commerce, finance or related industries or fields
• You will have previous experience in supporting or leading financial or assurance audits
• You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information and data
• You will have strong communication skills - both written and verbal, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
• You will be self-motivated, and have strong organisational and time management skills
• You will ideally have a current/active Federal Government Baseline Clearance, or willing to obtain one
