Job summary

MAS National in Canberra is seeking an Apprenticeship & Community Engagement Specialist to meet employers, visit schools and promote apprenticeships across ACT and Southern NSW.

You will be out and about, helping employers shape their workforce, guiding apprentices through signup, and delivering community events with a focus on real-life career opportunities, training and outcomes.

• Experience in sales, business development, education, training or community engagement.
• Loves talking to people and building relationships.
• Organised, proactive and self-motivated.
• Target-driven environment.

• Following up opportunities and turning conversations into outcomes.
• Supporting apprentices throughout their journey to completion.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days will look the same, but you might find yourself:

• Meeting with employers to discuss workforce needs
• Helping future apprentices discover career pathways
• Visiting schools and speaking with students about exciting opportunities
• Attending career expos, networking events and community activities
• Building relationships with local businesses, training organisations and support services
• Guiding apprentices and employers through the sign-up process
• Promoting apprenticeships and traineeships across the ACT region
• Following up opportunities and turning conversations into outcomes
• Supporting apprentices throughout their journey to completion

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Loves talking to people and building relationships
• Thrives in a target-driven environment
• Enjoys getting out from behind the desk
• Has experience in sales, business development, education, training or community engagement
• Can confidently engage with employers, schools and community stakeholders
• Is organised, proactive and self-motivated
• Wants a career with purpose, not just a job

Experience in the VET, apprenticeship or employment services sectors is highly regarded, but attitude and passion are just as important.
