Aurizon is offering an Apprentice Electrical role in Dry Creek, Adelaide, within the Rollingstock Maintenance team. You’ll be trained in-house to gain a nationally recognised qualification and develop strong technical and safety skills under expert guidance.

About the role:

We are looking for an Apprentice Electrical to join Dry Creek’s Rollingstock Maintenance team in Adelaide. Aurizon apprenticeships provide an opportunity to work in one of Australia's largest and most recognised companies assisting in the maintenance of rollingstock equipment and electrical systems.

This opportunity will see you trained in-house and gain a nationally recognised qualification. We understand our environment is unique and obtaining the qualifications for our jobs is best gained by getting that experience firsthand, by skilled Aurizon staff.

This role will see you develop strong technical and safety skills within our Bulk Central team, that will see you build a solid foundation as you are mentored by leaders in the field and supported by our Training department with opportunities beyond your trade.

• Proactively seek opportunities to develop trade skills and knowledge
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements
• Follow any guidance required to ensure work is performed to company standards
• Actively participate in team and safety meetings, contributing to improvement initiatives

About you:

We are eager to engage with people who have a genuine interest in their chosen trade through studies, work experience or hobbies. You will be energetic in your approach to this role and excited to join or further your career in the Rail Industry.

• An overriding commitment to health and safety
• A strong desire to learn and develop a broad range of skills related to your chosen trade
• Motivation to achieve individual and team goals, with a willingness to actively contribute to results
• Ability to undertake an extensive training program, including both theory and practical components
• Current driver’s licence preferred
• Completion of a minimum of Year 10
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment checks, including testing, references, and medical (please note this is not a FIFO/DIDO position)
