Qualifications

• Current Queensland C Class or CA driver's licence (provisional or open).
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work.

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Moderate computer skills and ability to use digital systems.
• Willingness to learn and commit to completing a plumbing apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of water infrastructure assets.

• Perform labouring and construction activities in outdoor work environments.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking an energetic, practical and motivated individual to either commence their career in Plumbing or take on a new challenge.

This opportunity offers a structured four-year apprenticeship combining practical, on-the-job experience with formal study toward a Certificate III in Plumbing. This apprenticeship offers the chance to earn while you learn and gain practical experience working alongside skilled tradespeople.

As an Apprentice Plumber/Drainer, you will undertake a range of field-based activities combined with studies to acquire trade qualifications, with objective of acquiring the skills and knowledge to support the installation, maintenance and repair of Council's water infrastructure. You'll be part of a supportive team that values safety, learning and delivering quality services to the Fraser Coast community.
