Hutcheon & Pearce in Wagga is offering an Apprentice Parts Interpreter position to learn how to identify and source parts, support customers and technicians, and manage stock while studying a Certificate III in Automotive Sales through TAFE NSW over three years.

You will gain hands-on experience in a busy parts department, including stock control, displays, and daily customer service, with Saturday shifts and progression in a large John Deere dealership.

• Ability to work in a busy workshop environment.

• Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with delivery to proper inventory locations.

No two days will look quite the same. You’ll be learning, problem-solving and building valuable industry knowledge while working with the John Deere brand.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
• Researches and interprets parts requirements.
• Places machine down and stock orders.
• Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with delivery to proper inventory locations.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Assists in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.
• Follows up on back orders and shortages, advancing issues by reporting to the manager.
• Maintains current product knowledge.
• Participates in Sales Training programs

As an Apprentice Parts Interpreter, you will undertake a Certificate III in Automotive Sales through TAFE NSW over a three-year period. Your training will include a mix of in-person classes, online learning, and practical workplace experience.
