Job summary

Australian Training Company – Gregory Hills NSW is offering a motivated, hands-on Apprentice Forklift / Mobile Plant Technician to join a workshop team and start a career in a skilled mechanical trade. This is a full-time, four-year apprenticeship where you will service, diagnose and repair forklifts (electric, LPG, diesel) and complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.

Qualifications

• Genuinely interested in mechanics and how things work.
• Hands-on, practical and keen to learn new skills.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to completing an apprenticeship.
• Able to follow instructions and work safely.
• A good communicator willing to learn from experienced tradespeople.
• Prepared to attend TAFE and complete training requirements.
• A current driver's licence or actively working towards obtaining one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Learn to identify and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.
• Assist with repairs and component overhauls under the guidance of qualified technicians.
• Develop practical skills using specialist tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Attend TAFE training and complete required coursework and logbook activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
