mycar Tyre & Auto is offering a structured 4-year apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Mechanics in Sydney. You will learn through a mix of workshop work and trade school, performing basic servicing, oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections under qualified trainers.

This role emphasizes safety, hands-on skill development, and long-term career growth within a people-first company that values training, technology adoption, and customer care.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Mechanically minded with genuine interest in the trade.
• Commit to a full-time 4 year apprenticeship, including practical studies.
• Strong sense of self-motivation with a 'can do' attitude.
• Ability to follow safe work practices.
• Current driver’s license or close to obtaining one is preferred.
• Certificate II in Automotive or demonstrated experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor servicing of light vehicles, including oil changes and tyre rotations.
• Carry out brake inspections and use/maintain tools and equipment.
• Keep the workshop clean and tidy while learning in the workshop and at trade school.
