Job summary

mycar Tyre & Auto offers a four-year full-time apprenticeship to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, performing minor servicing tasks and learning through a structured training program combining in-workshop practice and trade-school study.

You’ll gain skills in oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections, and tool handling, with a strong emphasis on safety and clean, organized work practices.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian citizen/PR
• Commit to a full-time 4-year apprenticeship including practical studies
• Current driver’s Licence (or close to obtaining one) preferred
• Certificate II in Automotive or demonstrated experience is ideal

Responsibilities

• Perform minor servicing of light vehicles (oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections)
• Use and maintain workshop tools and equipment
• Keep the workshop clean and tidy
