Job summary

JBS Beef City Plant in Queensland is seeking an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team. This full-time role (40 hours/week, Mon–Fri) includes optional overtime on Saturdays where available, under the Beef City Maintenance EBA. A full driver’s license and reliable car are required, as the location is approx.

35 km from Toowoomba with no public transport. You will learn to maximise equipment uptime, perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, and work under supervision of

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in the trade.
• Previous meat industry experience is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Proactive learning to maximise equipment uptime through preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures.
• Work with and under the supervision of tradespeople.
• Follow all instructions from tradespeople and supervisors.
• Attend TAFE as required.
